100 New Golf Courses Planned in the years to come, Bodrum, Kusadasi and Altinkum lead the Way

Do you enjoy Golf, well look no further, Turkey will provide an abundance of New Courses over the coming years for you to choose from, as billions of USD are poured into the industry.

The Turkish Golf Federation has plans to add a further 100 Golf Courses to the 20 already in existance across Turkey.

Turkey intends to capitalise on this million pound industry and will meet Spain head on, and the Aegean Area of Turkey being its secret weapon. There is a lot of catching up to do but with a vast amount of land available, a similar climate and one of the fastest growing tourist industries in the world, it will become a leading Golf destination of the future.

Up until now most of the Golf has been confined to the Istanbul and Mediterranean Areas of Turkey, but now the Aegean Coast is joining in, there is over 1.100 km of fantastic coastline, broken up by lovely Marinas but until now very little Golf.

Courses nearing completion in Bodrum, construction work progressing in Kusadasi, and the new Altinkum Golf course due to start construction 2010 lead the way on the Aegean.

All this is set to change, thanks to a joint venture between two large group of companies, no less than 18 courses are work in progress.

Talks have already been opened with world golfing bodies opening debate about hosting international tournements in the future

2010 see the Carya Golf Club in Belek host the 2010 European Challenge Tour.
