The Conclusion of "A Buyers Tale" I bought Off Plan

Deeds collected and holidays booked, Romain De Lisle has now settled in to his newly completed Duplex on the Aegean Coast in Altinkum .

Romain first came to Turkish Connextions from 'A Place In The Sun' after writing to Amanda Lamb to see if she could help him find his perfect Property in Turkey, a home in the sun.

The last time Romain was in Altinkum he was picking furnisher and fittings for his not yet fully complete Duplex.

Now Romain has picked his Deeds up, just over a year from when he first saw Beachfront Residence as foundations in the ground.

I fell in love with Turkey on our first visit in 2008; the Aegean coast line and its similarities to Grenada where I was born; the weather, the people, the atmosphere and the food. My girlfriend Sharon and I both agreed this was definitely a place we wanted to be in and hopefully find a great property not only for investment purposes, but a place to escape to and relax; a place that could also be enjoyed by our family and close friends.

It was important to find an established developer that we could trust and after writing to Amanda Lamb from A Place in The Sun Magazine, we got into in touch with Jayne at Turkish Connextions. From our first meeting we knew we had met a team who had a no nonsense approach to selling and developing properties. There were no gimmicks, no sales patter and no ‘impressive’ dining to try and turn our heads. We spent two days with Jayne and Izzy looking at an array of properties in Altinkum and Akbuk . It gave us a chance to see more of the area and get a good idea of where we wanted to be and why. We were given advice about the area, expected costs and procedures; no stone was left unturned.

We went with our gut feeling when we first saw No 19 Beachfront Residence. It was a hole in the ground and the foundation was just being laid but we could see the potential in its location. It was exactly what we wanted and we relished the opportunity to be part of the process from start to finish. It looked to be exceptionally good value for money and we were the first people to buy off plan. Now when we look at our completed duplex and look at what we have paid for it we realise that we got a fantastic deal. We feel very lucky indeed.

The whole process took a year and 3 months until completion and throughout that time we were in constant contact with Jayne and her team. We were sent regular up dates, photos and any questions or queries we had were answered. We were never left in any doubt that we had made the wrong decision.

We have ended up with an amazing property that we are very proud of and excited about; a three bedroom, two bathroom duplex with a roof terrace and sea views and in close proximity to Altinkums three main beaches. We absolutely love the place and have been lucky enough to make new friends along the way.
