Didim Marina on the International Map
Turkey's biggest Marina, based in Didim will see International yacht races in 2010
This year the New Didim Marina will be involved in two international yacht races, Turkey Open Sea Sailing in July and the Shop and Miles Cup in August.
The Marina will also feature in the Istanbul cup which starts in France and finishes in Istanbul and the Marina will be one fo the stop off points.
The Marina will be being promoted at some of the largest fairs around the world.
Locally, charter ferry services should begin to Samos, and Bodrum from the Marina in 2010.
A high speed boat shuttle from Yalikavak Marina to Didim Marina was also launched from 1st August 2010 it has a 30 passenger capacity and takes only 40 minutes.
The Yacht Club on the Marina is now open, and the sports facility will open shortly. Big name designer shops are being sought,for the shopping centre and the summer months should see the start of trading.
There will still be more to come for the Marina Area, and this will increase the price of property in this area.
Property investors who have been looking to take advantage of the burgeoning Turkish real estate market may also be interested to hear that a new marina is to be built in Istanbul's western suburbs.
The proposed harbour will be constructed in the Atakoy district, which is located on the European side of the Bosphorus, and is expected to cost USD16 million.
Such significant investment in the suburbs of Istanbul is extremely positive for the future.
An increasing number of overseas investors are beginning to look to the western suburbs of the 2010 joint European City of Culture, with capital gains of up to 30 per cent reported for the Beylikduzu district, Experience International claims.
