Hakan Sukur

Former Blackburn Rovers Striker Hakan Sukur, and sponsored player of Turkish Connextions takes his place in the Turkish Parliament as a member for the ruling AK Party.

Former football player of Galatasaray, Inter Milan, Torino and Parma had to obtain approval from the Turkey Prime Minister, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, to become a member of the Turkish parliament.

Since retiring from football, Hakan Sukur has concentrated on his new politics career. In addition, he was a frequent commentator on the game at the television station.

Hakan Sukur is a Turkish football legand,the striker who dedicated 51 goals from 112 games with the Turkish national team.

Hakan Sukur is still listed as the player who scored the fastest goal in World Cup history, against South Korea in the semifinals after only running 10.8 seconds.
