For the past few years I have been trying to persuade my wife Michelle to buy a second home abroad, she finally agreed last year that it would be a good investment for the future.

Although we had never been to the country we decided to buy in Turkey, as it is an up and coming country and prices of property are very reasonable, we also have family who have purchased in Altinkum Turkey with ease.

We searched the Internet and found Turkish Connextions. We were pleasantly surprised to find that they were based only 10 minutes away from our home in Preston.

We arranged to see Jayne, and were very impressed with the knowledge she had of the country and area we were interested in. Jayne explained the full cost and buying process in Turkey and showed us various properties she had for sale.

Jayne showed us the Yasemin apartments, which were still being built and due to be completed in June 06. We fell in love with one of the apartments and wanted to leave a deposit. Jayne was very reluctant to take a deposit form us until we had been on a viewing trip; due to commitments we were unable to do this so we bought blind and off plan.

This turned out to be the best decision we had made in a long time.

Jayne helped us choose all the furniture, and had it all delivered before our 1st trip in July 06. Jayne even arranged our property insurance. When we arrived in Altinkum Jayne's Turkish partner Izzet was waiting for us at the apartment to let us in and show us around.

We were very happy to find everything with the apartment 100%.

Within 8 Months of completion our title deeds (Tapu) were in our hands, which we found very reassuring.

We have visited our apartment a number of times since, and have made some great friends English and Turkish.
