Alanya is located in the Antalya province of southern Turkey, and sits approximately 133km east of the city of Antalya and is on Turkey’s southwest coast. With its harbour and castle it’s a cosmopolitan mix of lively bars running along the waterfront. It’s two Blue Flag beaches are separated by a towering peninsula. Cleopatra Beach, on the western side, is the more popular of the two. It’s a 2-kilometre stretch of sand with a dramatic view of the castle.
The Eastern Beach has slightly rockier water’s edge. The nightlife is famous; the disco bars are a good place to grab a drink in the evening before the major clubs along the harbour get going around 11pm.
The town of Alanya is concentrated around the old harbour where you will find lively bars and restaurants, most of which stay open all year round. The town boasts many 5 star hotels and countless boutiques tempting you with leather goods and jewellery.
For those interested in history, a visit to the Archaeology and Ethnography Museum is a must, or for a more relaxing day take a boat trip or just relax on one of the blue flag beaches.
A visit to the Alanya Castle is a must, take in the history and enjoy the amazing 360 degree views. After you have visited the castle take a stroll down to the harbour and explore the Red Tower which was built in 1226 to protect the castle. Also nearby is the Old Shipyard which is also worth checking out.
AVSALLAR is a small quiet resort town situated 25km to the west of Alanya city centre. There is a lovely beach located 500 metres away offering a range of water sport activities. You can find the town centre 750 metres away, here you will find a variety of shops, cafes, restaurants and local amenities.
BEKTAS is renowned for its natural beauty and unrivaled panoramic vistas situated at 500 metres above the sea level. The famous Cleopatra Beach can be found 3km away and it is just 2km to reach the Alanya city centre.
KARGICAK is a delightful village that still holds its traditional charm and offers stunning views of highlands of Taurus Mountains and the Mediterranean. Kargicak village is situated 15 km from the Alanya town centre.
MAHMUTLAR is a small resort but has a great centre offering a variety of lovely shops, cafes, great restaurants, it also has a newly opened shopping mall and has a beautiful seafront.
OBA is a lovely popular district in Alanya with a beautiful beach and a wonderful town centre offering many shops, cafes, restaurants and bars and all of your everyday amenities. The local bus service can take you into the Alanya city centre.
TOSMUR is situated next to the Dim River and is surrounded by many green areas. Tosmur itself has many facilities and amenities as well as a wonderful beach promenade boasting a variety of lovely shops, great restaurants and markets.
Alanya is a truly modern town approximately two hours’ drive from Antalya.

Alanya Castle and Cave-
